"textoCompleto" => "<span class="elsevierStyleSections"><p id="par0005" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">We have read the article “Bioethical challenges in clinical practice of the 20th century”.<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0005"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">1</span></a> The content of the article highlights the imperative need to integrate bioethics as an essential part of contemporary clinical practice, proposing the introduction of bioethics consultants for real-time advice, especially in complex situations that generate value conflicts.<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0010"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">2</span></a> Our purpose is to contribute to the enrichment of the academic debate in the field of bioethics in relation to the transplant process and the ethical aspects of informed consent.</p><p id="par0010" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Advances in transplants have generated numerous ethical considerations. From the selection of donors and recipients to the equity of the organ. In Chile, with the implementation of the Organ Donation and Transplantation Law (Law No. 19,451), the Public Health Institute and transplant ethics committees play a crucial role in contributing to supervision and guaranteeing fair allocations.<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#bib0015"><span class="elsevierStyleSup">3</span></a></p><p id="par0015" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">Bioethics consultants, as suggested in the article, would be crucial in these instances to help both medical professionals and patients and their families navigate these complex processes. Consultants could offer real-time advice and support clinical decision-making that respects the patient's values ​​and preferences, while maintaining clinical practices within an ethical and legal framework.
