    "textoCompleto" => "<span class="elsevierStyleSections"><p id="par0005" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">A 32-year-old woman with no relevant personal history was admitted to the emergency department for pain&#44; swelling and pallor of the left thigh&#44; along with moderate effort dyspnea&#46; The patient was hemodynamically stable at all times&#46; The venous Doppler ultrasound revealed thrombosis of the common iliac vein and left femoral artery&#46; Chest computed tomography &#40;CT&#41; angiography showed bilateral segmental pulmonary thromboembolism&#46; CT examination of the deep venous system demonstrated continuity of the thrombosis to the inferior vena cava due to the presence of stenosis at the bifurcation in the left common iliac vein due to compression exerted by the right common iliac artery&#44; a condition known as May&#8211;Thurner syndrome&#46; Endovascular treatment was performed using urokinase and by placing an endovascular stent&#46; The patient presented deep venous system permeation and symptom improvement&#46; At discharge&#44; the patient remained on oral anticoagulation and acetylsalicylic acid&#46; In the subsequent check-ups&#44; the pulmonary thromboembolism and deep vein thrombosis had resolved &#40;<a class="elsevierStyleCrossRef" href="#fig0005">Fig&#46; 1</a>&#41;&#46;</p><elsevierMultimedia ident="fig0005"></elsevierMultimedia><p id="par0010" class="elsevierStylePara elsevierViewall">May&#8211;Thurner syndrome is uncommon and consists of compression of the left common iliac vein by the right common iliac artery and spine&#46; The treatment of choice is the placement of an endovascular prosthesis&#46;</p></span>"
